I am so excited to be starting a new school year! I have 20 super awesome students that I feel very blessed to be helping grow both spiritually and academically. We started our day by creating a "heart" map. I asked the classroom about some of their favorite things and other fun questions to get to know then a little better. Then I talked to the class about our new school theme which is, "Behold, I make all things new." This bible verse comes right from the book of Revelations. To bring our theme to life and to help the students understand I used the image of a plant and how it drops its seeds and new life grows again. We complete the lesson with planting our own little marigold seeds to take home and watch grow.
The rest of our first day was filled with rules, organizing our classroom supplies and the specials Spanish and Technology. It was a wonderful day and I am so excited for the rest of the year! Below are a few pictures of the events of our day! I hope you enjoy them.
Keep chattering,
Ms. Meier
